Get Paldo (“we”, “us”) is the company behind Paldo, a money app for iPhone and Android that helps you track accounts, spending and budgets in any currency. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Paldo apps and this website.
Everything you enter in Paldo (accounts, balances, transactions, categories, budgets, recurring entries, government contributions, reminders, rate alerts and settings) is stored only on your device.
We never receive a copy of this data.
If you import a CSV or Excel file from another money app or your bank, the file is read on your phone and its entries are added to Paldo on your device. The file is not uploaded anywhere.
To convert between currencies, the app connects to these free public services:
These requests include only currency codes and dates. Like any website, these services can see your device’s IP address when the app connects to them. Their own privacy policies apply to that.
Daily reminders and rate alerts are created and scheduled on your phone. To check a rate alert, the app looks up the latest rate from the services above. No notification content is sent to us.
Paldo sends anonymous usage counts to help us understand which features people use. We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. We only count events such as: the app was opened, an account was added (and its type), a transaction, budget, transfer home, import or rate alert was created, and a second currency was used. Along with these counts we send the app version, operating system version and region.
We never send amounts, balances, account names, notes, currencies or any other financial details, and we do not use advertising IDs. These stats are not linked to you. Sharing is on by default and you can turn it off anytime in Settings > Share anonymous usage stats.
Paldo lets you back up all your data to a file, restore from a backup file, and export your transactions as a CSV file, from Settings > Your data. These files are created on your device and saved or shared wherever you choose (for example your Files app, Google Drive or email). Paldo does not upload them and cannot see them.
Backup and CSV files contain your financial records in readable form, so store them somewhere safe. Restoring a backup replaces the data currently in the app, and the app asks you to confirm first.
Paldo is currently free. If paid features are offered in the future, payments will be handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details.
Because we don’t hold your data, we can’t view or recover it for you. It lives only with you.
This website is an information page about Paldo. It has no sign-up and does not ask for personal information. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site.
Paldo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We respect your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines and other privacy laws that apply to you, including your right to be informed, to access, to object, to correct and to erase. Since Paldo keeps your data on your device and we don’t collect it, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For any privacy question or request, email us at the address below.
If how Paldo handles information changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
